Nice weekend. Yup - nice.

It started off by blowing off studying and going to see "Hellboy" with a group of people.  Fun.  Alas, nearly everyone else went drinking afterwards, but my horrid body clock and the fact that I can't really drink right now made it an unsavory idea for me.  So I drove home and dropped off another person on the way...

Saturday was also nice...got laundry done, a little studying, catalogued MKA's books that are in my house, reorganized a bit so rit supplies are where I actually WANT them to be.  All this followed by an evening of contra dancing at Springstep to benefit Great Meadow Morris and Sword - a teenage team that will be performing in the UK this summer.  They'll do great.

Problem at contra, though.  Most of the time, people switch partners from dance to dance.  So, that's what meadmaker and I did.  However, most of the folks danced with the same partner for each dance.  So, I found myself sitting out a bit when I would have liked to be dancing.  It started to hit me like the time I went swing dancing and nobody would dance with me (I asked and got "no's" - made me feel about 2 inches tall).  I know that it wasn't personal this time, but I had to fight back tears a few times.

Sunday was productive.  Sort of.  I transcribed the list of books to my computer.  Had a class.  Wrote a lot.  Slept a bit more than usual.  Yeah, Sunday was nice.

and, MKA did have, and i now have (and, as far as i'm concerned, you may have) the orange herbal. she said she wanted the white one sent to her at some point. maybe she forgot about the orange? whaddya think? you wanna hang onto both to send at some point? i also have a short stack of books to send someday, per her instructions.

I think she didn't want the orange one because it's about "Magickal Herbalism," where the other one is not so specific in its title. (The white one is also a bit more useful, but I can purchase that one for myself if I need it - besides, meadmaker has it, too.).

Since you have the "send later" books, though, why don't you hold onto the white one.

I have other things to "send later," but they will require creative packaging.

She's doing passably well. She's not real happy where she is, but she and N are both going to counseling right now. We haven't received a whole lot of detail, otherwise.

She's been a bit distant, though that's understandable. She thinks she's disappointed a lot of us. :-\ We understand that she's just been human.

It's good to hear they're in counseling though. I know it's a really rough time. But she's a tough cookie and will be good again.

That's...odd, not to mention Not The Contra Way. It's also odd that there were enough men that there were actually women sitting out...though if this will happen in any area, it will happen around here.
