Focus!

Ok, sometimes I waver between two extremes...

On the one hand, I would enjoy being the kind of woman whose focus was on the home. Keeping it clean and well organized, creating things for it, taking care of pets and children, tending a garden. This, to me, is a life that I would cherish. I think.

Then, on the other hand, I get in a mode like I was yesterday. I discovered that I can have my MS in Insurance Management in 16 months of finishing my CPCU. Less, actually, if I double up. But I'm not that crazy.

If I really focus on it, I can have my:
CPCU Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (professional designation)
MSIM See above
AIC American Institute designation in claims
AIM American Institute designation in management

All by the time I'm 40.

So - I fluctuate between wanting a much simpler life, and creating more complexity for myself. Gah!

Just because you CAN do something doesn't always mean you should. Do what fulfills you. Not always easy to make that decision either, but don't do something just because you feel you can and should do it. Do what you have to do. ;)

none of this is beyond your capabilities, but maybe doing it all in a few short years is not the kindest thing to do to yourself.
