I was just reading a professional periodical for the insurance industry, and found something odd...
Now, you must understand, Risk Managers are usually hired as employees of various organizations/corporations to figure out what could possibly go wrong, and what the best way to handle all that could possibly be.
Essentially, they are paid to be pessimistic Boy Scouts. Right.
Now, in the UK, there is a movement to require that all Risk Managers be licensed by the government. Do you see where this is going? Do you?
It means that, if this passes, in the UK, you will need to be licensed to be a professional pessimist!
