Nice day (except for the welts)
Jun. 17th, 2003 02:15 pmOk, the time has come to start telling folks (outside of M___, T____ and B____) who this guy is that I’m dating. We’re planning to go to the planetarium next. I’m really excited about it!
I sometimes wonder how people will respond. I’m sure g__ and M_____ have an inkling…at least, they won’t be so surprised. But Mel____ should be brought in…she’d be really angry if I didn’t tell her. And I suppose my roomie will want to know who this guy is… :-D Of course, he already knows him (or at least has met him).
I’d be concerned about being alienated by some of the BPA folks, but that’s not really an issue, since I’m not too close to a lot of them anyway. K_t will certainly get it. And S__ is certainly at a place where he won’t shun someone for living a different life. Besides, his new girlfriend seems to be exquisitely in place to get him to loosen up a bit. They’re polar opposites, but it seems to temper both of them. :-D I’m so happy for them.
B__ and D___ should be fine. And if they’re not – well, this is family. M___ considers me such, and I feel much the same way. So whether or not they like it is irrelevant.
I got all misty last night when he said that…..I couldn’t believe it. Just a few of the remarks, comments, yadda, in the past few days when we’ve really been talking have made me even more certain about this relationship. It’s awesome. M___ is awesome. (M___ is SUNSHINE!) :-D
When I first knew, from T____, that they were going to start dating other people, I thought this was possible. But I didn’t want to ask until I talked to T____. And if she was ok with it, then I would have approached M___. But, as it is, he beat me to the punch, so to speak. Alas, it’s not surprising. He has much more opportunity for one-on-one conversation with her than I do.
Ah, can you tell that I’m really happy? I don’t even (really) mind the black fly welts covering my back right now. Lumpy, Happy, Sleepy (from the Benadryl)….better watch it (as B____ said) or I’ll end up being 7 dwarves all by myself! Hehehe!
