Well, I have morris practice tonight. I do I do I do! And I've had too much sugar! So I'm hyper for the time being! Mymymymymymymymymy!

My boss comes back to work tomorrow, so no more working on other homework while in the office, even if I have nothing else to do. Ah well.

But, I NEED TO REMIND MYSELF TO GO SHOPPING! I know, remind myself? Right. I need to buy and mail a birthday present for my 2 year (soon to be, at least) niece. She's a cute little window climber like her auntie (teehee!)

But, for now, I strap on my bells, get my hankies and sticks, and dance the morris. The fun morris. Not the other one. You know, the one that they do when the year turns dark - high in the Ramtop Mountains. The bells have no color. They make no noise. This is the other morris - the one without which the bright one would have no meaning. Mwahahaha!

Tonight is opening night for WIMS - the Wausau Insurance Music Society. They're a group in Wausau Wisconsin (home of Wausau Insurance Company, go figure) made up of INSURANCE PEOPLE (adjusters, loss control specialists, underwriters, and even actuaries!) that sing, dance, act, play various instruments... The employees make up the band, the chorus, the script committee (because they write their own script each year, too). They're the techies and the actors, and even the stage manager. Only sound and lights are done by people outside the company, and that's because the theater provides them. Though, they are both related to folks on stage...

This year's title is Music and Movies - it's a cute show about two guys home sick from work. One has digital mega-cable, and the other is stuck with kids videos. The comedy rolls from there.

This is the first year since I joined that I won't be in the show. It's kinda sad. I am still on committees that I can manage long distance (like script, and designing the costumes), but that's all I can do. Even last year I got to perform with them. *sigh*

SO while I'm here in Belmont MA shouting BREAK A LEG! to them - I recall the thrill of being on stage. I miss it. I miss them.

Who'd have ever thought I'd miss something (besides family) about Wausau, WI?
