Here it is, morning again.
I am on my second cup of coffee...odd for me by now...and working on getting my old files "overdone" so that there is time to get them assigned to new people before they fall behind.

I looked at the diary list of the person I'm replacing. He hasn't touched a diary, quality control measure, tickler, or litigation file since April 26th. *sigh* So, I'm working my tail off in one respect to get things in a place not to do that to someone else, and then going to get things caught up in something completely new to me elsewhere.

Does that make sense at all? I feel like I'm rambling a bit this morning.

Changes

I have discovered that, for a person like me that likes what is stable and what she is used to, a time of change is a good time to make a bunch of changes. After all, things are all up in the air, anyway, so why not one more (or two more) things?

So, I am in the process of making a few changes.

1. I need to lose weight. I know I do. It's not easy with my dietary restrictions, but it's got to be possible. I am not confortable with myself where I am. Even if it's only 20 pounds (which most people wouldn't even notice, the way I store this stuff), I'll feel better. In order to do this, I plan to work out meals at least several days ahead of time, and plan my lunches (my downfall, since I eat at work) on the weekends.

2. Pay off debt as quickly as possible. With the new job and the new place, I should be able to have the car paid off by the end of 2005. This will make me completely debt free, so I won't feel so bad about saving for a down payment for some real estate.

3. Manage my wardrobe better. I will be in home office, now, so regular business attire is required. No business casual. That just won't cut it in a Home Office atmosphere. I have a few outfits that will work in the interim, but I will need to start buying some decent suits. Unless, of course, I lose enough weight to fit nicely into the ones that I have from my hotel days.

Of course, this all goes with study time, and time to devote to craft work, and work, and time with sweeties, and time to myself. Hey, can we do something about that 30 hour day I requested a few years ago?

Cancer Horoscope for week of May 13, 2004

Cancerian singer George Michael recently announced that he intends to give away his music for free, posting it on the Internet for anyone to download. "I've been very well remunerated for my talents over the years," he told BBC, "so I really don't need the public's money." Given the current astrological omens, dear Crab, it makes perfect sense for you to regard Michael as your role model in the coming week. I urge you to expand your generosity to the next level as you provide free samples of a resource or skill you've been blessed with in abundance.

A skill I have in abundance, eh? A skill I have in abundance... Or a resource... *sigh* I'm sure I'll know how to apply this if the situation presents itself.
