Weekend.

I just realized that I've been doing an awful lot of griping on here lately. So, here's something not so gripey.

Ok, maybe it's a BIT gripey, but not about myself...

This was a WEEKEND! What a weekend it was, too.

FRIDAY - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban at the IMAX at the NE Aquarium. Yay! Ok, sorta yay. I'm a ditz sometimes when my world is all faschimelled.

SATURDAY I found myself shopping for a formal with a friend. Someone is having a black-tie wedding. How frustrating. When you are my size (which, while a bit above average, I am certainly not unusually so), you find hardly any dresses at all. In 8 1/2 hours of shopping I found three dresses that fit. Three. In many many many stores. Three. Now I just have to hope that I can find a bra that will fit with the one I decided upon.

And shoes.
Uch.

I don't have this kind of money, really. Anyway, so, I found a dress with great headache. I have to admit, I am grateful that [livejournal.com profile] lindalee accompanied me on this search (for her own, of course) - otherwise I would have probably given up after the failure at the first store.

That really was the whole day, can you believe it?

SUNDAY - This was an interesting day. We packed [livejournal.com profile] pierceheart's stuff and loaded it all into one room. His stuff wasn't so bad. A bit dusty, but that's to be expected when he hasn't been around in so many months.

[livejournal.com profile] pierceheart, I'm sorry. I broke a wine glass that looked like it was from someone's wedding. It was on the edge of a shelf and I caught it on my sleeve. :( Sorry.

Then I went into the kitchen to get a dustpan and brush. Um, yeah. Bad. Real bad. It smelled awful. Someone said it was the rotting strawberries. I thought it smelled like someone had vomited in there and didn't quite clean it up.

I won't even mention the bathroom beyond this sentence.

Yeah.

So, we got it all packed, loaded into one room that can be locked up for him, and then went home.

Made "Mary's Chicken", and set the oven for "timed bake," then went grocery shopping with [livejournal.com profile] meadmaker. :) Yeah. Got home to finished chicken, cooked up some spinach, and voila! Dinner. :-D

All followed by watching B5. I've never seen it, so [livejournal.com profile] meadmaker is being kind enough to share the experience. Add to this a couple of hot fudge brownie-cake sundaes, and it was a nicely rounded evening.

Yeah.
