Still in Florida

Yup - it's my last morning of not having to work, though. For the next two days I have meetings at the LM Training Center in Tampa, then it's back to Boston.

In many ways I wish this vacation would never end. In others, I can't wait to return to Boston.

I found out yesterday that my boss is now retiring at the end of April. It was kind of last minute, the announcement, but he's worked for the company for 38 years. Wow, first Tony then Phil. I wonder what will happen next.

In addition, the big project I've been working on is now under new management. Grrr. And I'm here while all these transitions are going on. Not in the office. What a pain. I just hope that things are ok when I return.

Anyway, enough about that...

I haven't been able to do more than read a few LJ entries for a while. So, I'm sorry if I haven't responded to something I should have. Things should start getting back to normal next week.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] meadmaker bought my niece and nephew a cute frog and lizard at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. My nephew seems to have been sleeping with his, and my niece won't go anywhere without her frog. How cute! Though, the cutest was when we were playing hide and go seek yesterday and my niece said, "Where's [livejournal.com profile] meadmaker?"

I assume these are STUFFED critters? :)

Actually, they're made from a stretchy and squishy material. It was quite amusing, though, when her mother saw her saying, "Frog! Frog! Frog!", with her twirling the frog around by one of its hind legs, and the leg stretching out for a good few inches.

Well, as long as they aren't real. :)

Under the Boston sky, my dear, feeling ill.

I'm happy to have met your neice and nephew, though.
