FUN!

Well, last night was a first - and it was FUN! Yes, FUN!

Before moving to New England, I had never even heard of Contra Dancing. Morris Dancing, yes - I had seen Red Herring (and other teams) when they performed during the Midwest Morris Ale in the summer of 2001. Before I joined Red Herring, though, I had never heard of Contra.

Alas, our Morris practices are usually on Thursday nights. So nobody on Red Herring can make it to more than the last 1/2 hour of Contra at the VFW in Cambridge.

But, this week was different! We had practice on Wednesday instead of Thursday. Yay! So, last night, meadmaker and I went to the VFW! FUN!

Yup, fun. Definitely. Alas, I will not be able to make another full night of Contra at the VFW until June. But it's so FUN!!!!

Ah - we went to the one at teh VFW in Cambridge on Thursday nights. I can't usually go to that one because I have Morris Practice on Thursdays, though.

There is another one on Monday nights in Concord, though.

I did contra once in Vermont. I loved it. I want to do it again, with both loves (different nights of course), but would prefer to warm back into it with someone else. Would your S/O allow you to reteach me?
