I saw that. It's scary when someone you care about is there. I know that these artists are just reflecting what so many of us are experiencing.

I don't want to lose BD.
I don't want cousin William to require a prosthesis.
I don't want my friends that are there to experience these things, either for themselves or witness them.
I know that they have no choice - that what will happen will happen, and they will see death and dismemberment.

I wish my brother wasn't going full active (he's been active reserves for a number of years now...).

When you're a kid and you want to grow up, you don't know the myriad of worries that press themselves into your mind on a daily basis. Sometimes I want to be 5 again. Sometimes.

sugar, it's been an evening of thinking about age, for me.

when i was your age, i wanted to be 5 again. it was simple then. i didn't realize what was happeneing in my family. i didn't understand prejudice, or war, other than sometimes we'd play that we had guns. but it was all new, and a game, or something to be gotten thru so i could have ice cream or popcorn and go see my friends.

now, i wouldn't be 5 again if you paid me. to go thru all that again???

thank you for the link. i don't get a paper and don't read comics anymore.

and i would like to, but know that i likely won't, actively work for this stupid war to stop. i support the people there, i LOVE the people there who are going where i cannot force myself to go.

i shall pray. i can do that.
