Only 11 more diary/ticklers to do before the end of this week! Yippeee!!!!!

This week is a short week for me, since I'm taking vacation on Friday. Then I'll be on vacation all next week while my folks are in town. I can't wait!

On the down side, it means that I'm on call, THIS WEEK. Bleh.
I'm sure there will be at least one midnight call this week. It stinks. Someone needs to tell hotel guests not to hang their clothes on the sprinkler heads. They just don't read the signs!

This is one that folks in your line of work could wake up screaming from. The very last Disclave (DC SF convention) was in 1997. Some genius with a room at the hotel who wasn't even a con member decided that fun and easy BDSM would be to tie his girlfriend to the sprinkler head (to him, an unidentified "thingie") in their hotel room. Said sprinkler head proceeded to break. The resulting flood was of biblical proportions, according to friends of mine whose hotel room was somewhere directly under his. The hotel blamed the con, and Disclave's name became sufficiently mud that they were banned from every hotel around. End of Disclave. So if you ever hear fen making jokes about sprinkler heads, you'll know why.
