We all got up at a good time - none before six or after seven. This works with the events for the day. Kiddo is finally eating his breakfast.

Last night's party did a great job at reducing my underlying anxiety, and if I manage to make it to the Diesel this week, the social outlets may give me what I need to not have another anxiety attack for a while. At this point, I'm really looking forward to Arisia for massive social time. As long as there's social time amongst the massive crowds, it'll be great.

I love the fact that we're starting to make our own cheese. :) Need to order some vegetable rennet, now.

In the next two days, most of the decorations are coming down. The season is nearly over, but it's not like our house will look bare. Too much "controlled clutter," for that to be a concern.

Stepped on the scale this morning, and I was 2 pounds down from two weeks ago. This is nice. I like that. So tonight is candle inventory (and maybe clean out some votive holders), and takeout, followed by the rest of the night of stitchery of some sort. I'll either work on the purse for my sister or the stuff for myself. I want to get the wristies done for myself to 1: test out the pattern before making it for other people, 2: keep my hands warm at the office!

I'm getting my nails "done" again. I enjoyed that, I like the way my hands look when I do this, too. I'll get them done again, with a pedicure, just before Arisia. Now to get ready for the busy day, while F tells a story about me having to push Daddy's car and how heavy it is. *sigh* Never had to do that, but he's amusing.

My friend R's oldest (she's a couple of months younger than F) does the storytelling too. It's funny, you wonder WHERE they come up with these things!

Are you still doing amigurumi? I have this book my mother gave me from the 70's called "Storybook Crochet." I shall bring it and see if there are any patterns you're interested in? I love the book, and have tentative plans to make some toys for MR from these.

I haven't made any amis for a while. I do enjoy them, but after the last failed IVF, I've felt icky about making them. I think that's mostly because I was making the for a bunch of people who were having babies. Still, the folks I made them for tell me that their kids love them.

I should start that up again. I think I'll pull out my "Creepy Cute Crochet" book for my next patterns. That way they're not really baby toys.

I love the fact that we're starting to make our own cheese. :)

That's cool. I'm not sure whether or not I should mention this to Nancy...we're already making our own bread, yogurt and kefir and roasting our own coffee. (Not to mention occasionally pressing apple cider and brewing beer...)

Yeah, we're also doing yogurt and bread, since yogurt is one step in the process of one of the cheeses (cream cheese - F's favorite). We're going to start aged cheeses next November, when the basement office becomes just the right temperature for much of the winter to let it age.

We're also still brewing, mostly mead but sometimes cider and wine.

The cheese is fun, so far. It also makes me feel like an appropriate geek, again. :) I've become a bit too mainstream in many things for my tastes, lately.

(Heh, I also have new Bento stuff arriving soon that I plan to use for lunches).
