So, purpleyarrow is planning on leaving tomorrow instead of Thursday. Ouch.
And another friend is moving in the next two or three weeks.

I want to find a hole and hide before anyone else leaves. Too much of this can lead to a distinct feeling of abandonment.

I'm glad that you and meadmaker are there for each other now.
As for the other friend, well, I'll miss her too. A lot. She's one of my favorite people.
I'm staying right here, though, and we can miss people together. :\

What's making it harder is that, even though I know I'm not the cause (at least, that's what people keep telling me), I feel like it. It's the old issue of head and heart not matching.

So, on some level, I'm blaming myself for her leaving. And I see the heartbreak, and it's like plunging a knife into my gut.

Work's told me don't bother to come in tomorrow because of the snow, so I might as well leave when the roads clear enough and get a few hours in so the drive to Chicago is more manageable. I'm guessing that the afternoon will likely be semireasonable at least, and I'd rather be on the road longer than be more tired.

Much Sympathy! We've had a bunch of friends up and move to the Left Coast over the past couple of years, and it's hard to see them go.

But they come back and visit every now and then.
